The Heart Behind Peggy Herrman Fine Jewelry

My mother taught me the art and precision involved in creating couture designs. With those skills and a designer's eye, I supported myself from college through earning a PhD by working in high-end retail and supervising sales associates for a major airline.

With a PhD in hand, I built an internationally recognized conflict consultancy that always focused on my clients' needs. My passion for serving people started early in life and continues to this day. I'm less motivated by a push to sell and more by genuinely serving my customers.

While it's easier to provide customer service across a counter in a store, I constantly explore how Peggy Herrman Fine Jewelry can serve you from this online space. I hope the values described below inspire you to schedule a conversation.

Complete Transparency

I believe you deserve to know exactly what you're investing in. I only use precious metals, gold and silver, and soon platinum.  I also choose gems, pearls as well as colored gems, with meticulous care. When you ask about a stone, I can tell you where it was mined and whether it's been treated. My gem cutters are valued friends who share my passion for both quality and transparency.

Curating Pieces That Hold Their Value

I create jewelry that's distinctive and enduring. Recently, a high fashion agent described our pieces as "timeless and exciting" (yes, when the call ended, I cried in gratitude). Major fashion magazines have discovered our work and are reaching out. Starting in the fall, look for Peggy Herrman Fine Jewelry in print and digital media, recognition that affirms the lasting value of what we create.

Embracing True Collaboration

I love working with you to create or fine-tune designs that meet your specific needs and budget. While I can't dismantle existing pieces, I delight in crafting personally meaningful jewelry.  For example, a customer fell in love with my Sky Mountain necklace but needed a more accessible price point. The original design featured my artisan clasp made of white gold dusted with whiskey quartz. With gold selling around $3,000 per troy ounce, the pricing reflected that investment. I offered to create a new version using a sterling silver clasp of the same design—sterling currently sells for about $34 per troy ounce. You can imagine how that transformed the cost. All you have to do is ask.

Building Trust Through Genuine Concern

Your trust matters deeply to me. An online grocery representative modeled my ideal.  I called and the representative helped me after I'd ordered the wrong item. She listened patiently, then said, "Don't worry. I'm sending you a refund now. Just give away what you ordered to someone who needs it." I was loyal before—now I adore that company. Peggy Herrman Fine Jewelry hopes to earn that same devotion.

Honoring Your Humanity

Life happens, and I welcome the opportunity to help when something goes wrong. Did you accidentally spray a strand of pearls with hairspray? Did a gem bracelet make it into the shower? Did a delicate wire catch on a door latch and break? Let's talk. Together we can figure out a beautiful solution.

I also believe in gentle guidance, like reminding you to put jewelry on last when dressing so to avoid those "oops" moments.

Finding Joy in Your Happiness

Service isn't always easy, but it's always the right thing to do. Everything comes together when I sense your delight in a piece that's perfect for you.  "I ordered a fine jewelry piece for my wife as a part of our anniversary. Excellent design and craftsmanship, and a fair price. Peggy sails through the acid test of "would you buy from her again? - yes, yes, for sure. Good customer service and my wife is very happy with my purchase. Thanks, Peggy"   Charles

And now, a smile for all of us. 😊
