On clear days I love to look up through the green tops of majestic pines that frame an azure blue sky.  Pure joy.

This Azure Day earring begins with my hand-carved vanilla leaf and continues with a column of sky and London blue topaz, interspersed with yellow gold and Sleeping Beauty turquoise. 

Sleeping Beauty turquoise is one of the most recognizable turquoises in the world.  The mine, located in Globe, AZ, closed in 2012.  So, the gem is an investment in great jewelry.  

This Azure Day earring is an incredibly versatile dangle style.  Wear if you want to influence others or when you just want to kick back.

    Each element is hand carved to mimic parts of a vanilla plant. Why? "Because vanilla is considered a white orchid and is my business inspiration."

    Vanilla is also the essential flavoring when baking custard, cookies, cakes, and so many other delicious things!
